Terms of use
Last updated: 2 November 2026 · The German version is the binding one.
1. Provider and scope
Brickhaven (the app and the website brickhaven.app) is provided by Hendrik Augustyniak-Gaspers, Knopsstr. 37, 41061 Mönchengladbach, Germany (imprint). These terms apply when you use it with an account. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
2. What Brickhaven is
Brickhaven lets you keep track of your brick collection and wishlist. It is free to use. We keep developing the app and may change, add or discontinue features. There is no right to a particular feature or to constant availability. If we decide to shut the service down completely, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data. In the future the app may contain advertising or affiliate links; we will label them as such.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Use an email address that belongs to you, and keep your password secret.
- An account is meant for one person.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account).
4. Your content
What you enter and upload (notes, photos, your own sets) stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to you as far as the app needs to. Only upload photos you took yourself or have the rights to.
If you suggest one of your own sets for the catalogue and we accept it, you grant us the free, non-exclusive and unlimited right to publish its details and photo in the catalogue for all users and to adapt them for that purpose (for example, crop the photo). Your name is not shown.
5. What is not allowed
- illegal or offensive content, or content that infringes other people's rights, such as their photos without permission,
- reading the service automatically, overloading it or getting around its security,
- using gift links, the contact form or mistake reports for spam or harassment.
6. Reporting content
If you come across illegal content, please report it through the contact form or to [email protected], saying where it is and why it is illegal. We review every report, remove illegal content and tell you what we decided. If we remove a user's content, we tell them why. The same address is the point of contact for authorities and users under the Digital Services Act (in English or German).
7. Catalogue data and prices
Catalogue details, pictures and market prices come from manufacturers, shops and community databases (see “About & credits” in the app). We do not check each of them and cannot guarantee they are correct. Market prices are only a guide, not an offer. Brickhaven is not affiliated with any manufacturer.
8. Suspension
If someone breaks these terms, we may remove content and suspend or delete the account – usually after a warning, straight away for serious violations. We take the circumstances of each case into account.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. As Brickhaven is free of charge, we are not otherwise liable for slight negligence. Please export your collection now and then (Account → Export data) so you have your own copy.
10. Changes
If we change these terms, we will tell you at least four weeks in advance in the app or by email. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then; if you keep using Brickhaven afterwards, the new terms apply. The notice will point this out.
11. Law
German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country remain unaffected. We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and are not obliged to do so.
